A Different Approach

Balanced Body Physical Therapy

When pain persists, the answer is not always to treat harder at the exact spot that hurts. At Balanced Body, we look at how your entire body contributes to the problem—how you move, compensate, load, and recover—then build a treatment plan around the underlying pattern, not just the symptom.

Every visit is a private, one-on-one, 60-minute session with an experienced physical therapist. No aides. No shared appointments. No rushed care. Your therapist stays with you for the entire visit—evaluating, treating, reassessing, and adapting your plan in real time.

Pain is the symptom, but movement tells the story. Restore movement to reduce pain.

From the Ground Up

Your symptoms are part of a larger movement story. Our method follows five connected steps:

LISTEN — Understand your history, symptoms, goals, and what has already been tried.

WATCH — Observe how you walk, squat, reach, rotate, and respond to load.

FIND — Identify the restrictions, asymmetries, nerve irritation, and compensation patterns driving the problem.

TREAT — Use precise hands-on care, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, joint mobilization, and movement retraining.

REASSESS — Confirm what changed and build the next step around your response.

Better Movement Starts with the Nervous System

Movement is the result of your brain, nerves, joints, fascia, and muscles working together as one connected system. When injury, stress, or repetitive movement disrupts that communication, the body protects itself through tension and compensation.

Those adaptations may begin far from the place that eventually hurts. By restoring communication, mobility, timing, and control, we help your body move with less pain, greater stability, and more confidence.

Is Balanced Body Right for You?

Many of our patients arrive after months—or years—of searching for answers. They may have tried rest, injections, medication, surgery, or traditional therapy and still do not feel like themselves.

We commonly help people with complex or persistent pain, recurring injuries, movement limitations, hypermobility, nerve-related symptoms, post-surgical needs, balance concerns, and performance goals.

If you want to understand why the problem keeps returning—not simply quiet the symptom—you are in the right place.

Your First Visit

We begin with your full story, a whole-body movement evaluation, and a clear explanation of what we find. Treatment starts during the first visit whenever appropriate.

You will leave with a personalized plan, practical next steps, and a better understanding of how your body is connected. Sessions are private, one-on-one, and 60 minutes. Balanced Body is a private-pay practice and can provide a superbill upon request.

Alwin Springer, longtime Balanced Body Physical Therapy patient

“For nearly 18 years, Harold Manrique and Balanced Body Physical Therapy have played an important role in helping me maintain my mobility, strength, and overall physical health.

When I first met Harold, I could barely bend or stretch. Over the years, with his dedication and a lot of hard work, I have made tremendous progress and remain very pleased with my physical condition.

Eight years ago, Harold also helped me overcome a serious shoulder problem and avoid surgery. Today, at 83, I continue to rely on Balanced Body not only when something hurts, but as an important part of staying active, capable, and independent.

Their approach is truly preventative—keeping me moving well and addressing problems before they become limitations.”
